Gas Safety Week 2026: Take No Chances

At Ark Housing, the safety of our tenants is our top priority. That's why we carry out annual gas safety inspections in our homes to ensure gas appliances are working safely and efficiently.

Simple Steps to Stay Safe

This Gas Safety Week, we encourage all tenants to:

Allow access for annual gas safety inspections and servicing appointments.

Check that carbon monoxide alarms are fitted and working correctly.

Never attempt DIY repairs on gas appliances.

Always use a Gas Safe registered engineer for any gas work.

What to Do If You Smell Gas

If you smell gas:

Open doors and windows to ventilate the area.

Do not use electrical switches or naked flames.

Leave the property if necessary.

Contact the Gas Emergency Service immediately.

Never ignore the smell of gas or any concerns about a gas appliance. [dmsltd.com]
