Cumain House is a sheltered housing scheme situated in the picturesque rural village of Portaferry in Co. Down and is within walking distance of the local shops, the stunning loughshore and the Strangford ferry.
The Scheme provides low cost and comfortable self-contained accommodation for mature single persons aged over 35 years old. For those aged 55 and over, a Scheme Supervisor provides a support service Monday to Friday. Outside working hours, Cumain House is linked to an emergency call centre, so assistance is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Scheme consists of 25 one-bedroom self-contained apartments with lift access to the upper floors. Each apartment has central heating, kitchen, living room and bathroom. Other facilities include a common room, guest room, laundry, secure parking together with a controlled door entry system and CCTV.
