This year will mark our 30th anniversary as a registered housing association. In 1987, Down & Connor Housing Association was founded with one simple objective in mind – to provide affordable homes for those in housing need.Renamed in 1999 as Ark Housing Association, we continue to provide socially rented homes throughout Northern Ireland alongside services that help and support individuals and families to lead independent lives and maintain tenancies.
Currently, we have a presence in Counties Antrim, Derry/Londonderry, Down and Fermanagh and provide homes and services for a wide range of needs including general families, single persons, older persons and homeless families. We work with specialist partners to offer housing and support services to people recovering from mental illness, those with learning needs and the frail elderly.
As a progressive housing association we take pride in our diversity, our relationships with tenants, and in our ability to respond quickly to local and individual needs.
We are committed to providing better homes, to diversifying our services, to engaging our tenants and communities, to achieving service excellence and to making a Positive Difference By Empowering People And Communities for another thirty years and beyond.
