What is provided in a sheltered scheme

• A mixture of 1-2 person one bed flats • A help-line system is available in every flat. Every room in each flat has a help-line cord that hangs from the ceiling to the floor. This may be pulled to summon assistance and if the Scheme Supervisor is on duty he/she will answer the call. At all other times our service provider, Foldhelp Careline, monitors this service. The helpline service is provided 24 hours per day, 365 days of the year. • A lift is available for those residents who find it difficult climbing stairs. • A laundry room with two washing machines and one tumble drier. All machines operate with tokens which can be purchased from the Scheme Supervisor during office hours. • Common Rooms where tenants can come together and socialise and where functions can be held. Each common room has a kitchen where refreshments can be prepared for functions run by and for the tenants. • A guest room for tenants who have family wishing to call and stay for a few days. This room can be pre-booked through the scheme supervisor. • Smoke and heat sensor alarms throughout the building • Cleaning services for communal areas. • Grounds maintenance service • Car parking Area for residents. • Scheme Supervisor who lives on site.
