Any tenant may apply for a transfer. If you wish to transfer to a different property or scheme of the Association or to a another landlord, you must complete a transfer application form provided by the Association. Once an application is received the Housing Officer will carry out an assessment and point and rank the tenant on the Common Selection Scheme waiting list.
To qualify for a transfer a tenant must:
- have held a secure tenancy for at least 2 years; - have a clear rent account, ( arrears to be less than 4 weeks gross); - property to be in good state of repair; - not guilty of any other serious breaches of the tenancy conditions.
However in some cases the qualifying criteria for a transfer may be waived.
Access criteria will be waived where : • Tenant is a Full Duty Applicant
Access criteria may be waived where : • Tenant is eligible for points within a Health & Social Well Being Assessment • Good Housing Management Reasons • Tenant to be decanted due to major works • Current accommodation does not meet the tenant’s family needs • Under-occupation by 2 or more rooms and there is substantial demand for this type of accommodation
