If your home requires a repair to be carried out, it is essential that you contact the Association as soon as possible. Repairs can be reported in any one of the following ways :
1. By telephoning the office during office hours ( 9.00 –5.00 Monday to Thursday, 9.00 – 4.00 on a Friday )
2. By writing to us.
3. By calling at the office in person during office hours.
4. By reporting your repair to the Scheme Supervisor (if you live in a sheltered scheme)
When reporting the repair please state :
1. Your name and address
2. The exact nature of the repair
3. When the contractor can gain access to your home ie. days/times you are most likely to be at home.
Upon receipt of the repair request a decision will be made regarding responsibility for the repair. Tenants and the landlord’s responsibilities are detailed later in this section. The tenant will be informed accordingly.
If an emergency repair requires attention outside office hours, report the repair in one of the following ways :
1. Use the Helpline system if this has been provided in your property.
2. Use the Emergency Number 0800 7310381 or 028 90 421010
The Association will endeavour to inspect one in five repair requests both before and after completion of the work. Pre-inspections will be carried out to decide if a repair is required and if it is the responsibility of the Association or the tenant. Post –inspections will be carried out to assess the standard of workmanship and to find out if the tenant is happy with the outcome of their request.
