Rent Policy

The Association’s rent policy is determined by the Management Committee under the requirements of the Housing (NI) Order 1992. Rent is reviewed on a annual basis and four weeks notice is given to all tenants of any rent increases. At present the Association has adopted a point based system for calculating rent charges. Every property is awarded points for : - type of dwelling (eg terraced, detached, semi-detached, flat, etc) - age of dwelling - number and size of rooms - amenities (eg partial or full central heating)
A monetary value is established for each point and the rent for each individual property is calculated by multiplying the assessed points by the point value.
