All of the Association’s schemes have some provision for fire/smoke alarms.

• Where the system has been installed by the Association, the Association regularly checks and maintains the system
• Where the Association has distributed battery operated smoke detectors to tenants free of charge, it is the tenants responsibility to ensure that the smoke alarm is operational and batteries are replaced etc. Battery operated smoke alarms should be tested once a week.
