The Association is aware that when people move into a new home they may need adaptions or aids to help them cope with disabilities which arise.
It is the responsibility of the Occupational Therapy departments of the Health and Social Services Boards in your area to assess your needs within your home. The Occupational Therapist will provide aids and recommend whatever adaptions are required to make life easier within the home environment. These recommendations will be forwarded to the Association and we will endeavour to have the work completed as soon as possible. The Development Officer will make arrangements for the relevant contractor to carry out the work. All work will be carried out in consultation with the tenant concerned.
