Tony Ruddy FCIH was appointed as Director of Ark Housing Association in September 2002. Tony previously worked for the N.I. Housing Executive for 23 years in various departments and locations. He has a wide interest in social issues and is currently the N.I. Council member on the CIHs National Governing body and is moderator for CIH’s National Educational Courses at the Belfast Institute of Further & Higher Education and chair of the N.I. Housing Policy Board of the C.I.H.. He is chairman of a local Leonard Cheshire Service which provides accommodation, care and support services for people with disabilities and also serves on the Leonard Cheshire N.I. Regional Board.

Housing & Support Manager, Jim McShane BSc (HONS) Cert.CIH, has been with Ark Housing since August 2002. Jim completed an Honours Degree in Housing Management & Policy at the University of Ulster, before embarking on a varied career in Housing. He has previously worked for A.C.T. Housing Trust in Canberra Australia, for B.I.H. Ltd, and as a Housing Officer for both Wales and West Housing and Oaklee Housing Assoc. His most recent position prior to joining Ark Housing was as Managing Director with MC Property Services Ltd.
Jim is currently an Executive Committee member of the Council for the Homeless (N.I.) and is a serving member of EROSH N.I. working to promote the awareness of sheltered Housing throughout the North.

Cathy Allen BA Hons Dip PL joined Ark Housing Association in January 2003 as Development and Property Services Officer.
After graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a Degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Town Planning, Cathy worked for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive as an Assistant Planner. Prior to joining Ark, Cathy worked for Oaklee Housing Association as Development Officer, and for 4 years specialized in the provision of supported housing accommodation for those with special needs.

Vicky Buckingham, Assistant Housing Officer, joined Ark Housing in September 2003. Vicky is currently on Secondment to Head Office from her original post of Homeless Support Officer at Roseville House, Homeless Family Centre.
Vicky's career in housing began as a scheme co-ordinator of a sheltered housing schemen in the south of England. She quickly progressed to the post of Community Housing Officer for 1066 Housing Association before returning home and joining Ark. Vicky has a B.Tec in Social Care, holds the CIH Wardens certificate and has completed a certificate in Supervisory Management.

Annemarie Carleton started work with Ark Housing when it was formerly Down & Connor Housing Association, in April 1998 as Secretary.
This was Annemarie's introduction into the area of Housing and she is responsible for office administration and accounting. Before coming to Ark Housing, Annemarie worked as Administrator for a children's home in South Belfast for 11 years.

Kelly Foster joined the team at Ark Housing in March 2003 as Scheme Manager for Conor House, a sheltered scheme in West Belfast. Prior to joining Ark, Kelly lived with husband and 2 children in Port Talbot, South Wales. For 10 years she worked in a Residential Home for Elderly People as a Care Officer. Kelly has also spent 5 years working as an Auxiliary Nurse in Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. Kelly has a Diploma in Welfare Studies and a pre-vocational course in Care & Care Services. She hopes to further her studies by enrolling on a HNC/HND course in Housing/Social Development in September 2003.

Gabrielle Doran has been employed by Ark Housing since February 2002 as Scheme Manager for Cumain House, a sheltered scheme in Portaferry. Prior to joining Ark, Gabrielle spent 7 years working in the Ulster Hospital as an Auxiliary Nurse. She also worked as a Community Care-worker and has recently graduated from East Down Institute with a HNC in Care Practice. Gabrielle hopes to further her studies by enrolling on a HNC/HND course in Housing/Social Development in September 2003.

Kevina McDonald is Senior Support Worker at Roseville House which is owned and managed by Ark Housing. She has 14 years experience working in the social welfare field and has qualifications in Child Care and Child Development, Education and Training/Counselling and with further, extensive training she progressed to a Management position in the voluntary sector. In previous positions as Family Visitor with NIACRO and latterly with Lee Hestia Association, Kevina worked with families and vulnerable women with children, in need of support services. Kevina has responsibility for the supervision of a team of qualified and experienced staff.
